   I think this is one thing that Gibson has struggled with and quite honestly Dyson did a better job at.

   The batting line up needs to stay fixed. That way players have one less thing to worry about. Gibson is running this team like it is club cricket.

   Here is my line up for the ODI series and we should stick with it.

   Gayle
   Fletcher/Ramdin
   Sarwan
   Deonarine
   Bravo
   Chanderpaul
   Pollard
   Sammy
   Benn
   Taylor
   Roach

   This is simple science. If you are trying to figure out a root cause of a problem and you change multiple variables it wont work out.

   We are too focused on short term 'winning a game' rather than building players into rolls in the team and developing their cricket.

   Agreed except I think Ramdin and Fletch are too low on confidence to not lose their wicket early...

   I think Bravo probably requested the move up the order to try to bat himself back into form but and he's done that to an extent but I think Sarwan is being wasted coming in so late.

   Good point with Fletch/Ramdin but i think if you hold them more than likely they will have to come in on pressure situtations.

   If they drop down the order I dont like shiv opening. With bravo and sarwan not clicking we are putting our best 2 batsmen up top. I like shiv at #5 where he can stable things and that is his most successful batting position (or is it six).

   Promoe Bravo to open till Barath gets well?

   See your point re Fletcher and Ramdin.

   If I was a selector I'd just guarantee Ramdin his spot and let him work through this patch. He strikes me as a responsible person who puts enough pressure on himself to perform without anyone needing to ride him into shape.

   Fletcher should be on the A-team. In fact he should have been there in Dhaka when things were easy and the opposition and conditions built confidence. Hell if they can fly him fast enough maybe he could still make it over there in time for the 2nd test. Let him replace Nash who I believe would be an asset to our ODI team and not just the test team.

   Barath was named in the T&T squad to prep for the regional T20 competition. No news after that.

   I would like to say ramdin is going through a rouch patch but this is not too much different from his career.

   Agree with fletch and the A team.

   I think Nash, Dowlin and Darren Bravo will join the team for the test series. So that will make room for 3 other players in england.

   The 2nd unofficial test is tonight right?

   It's actually tomorrow night.

   I'm alright with DM Bravo making the A-team tour and playing the test fixtures we have and then returning home in time for the RSA tests while skipping the million 1day fixtures we have in ENgland.

   i think gibsons thinking behind the role mix ups were to use the t20s to know where everyone feels more comfortable for the longer formats, i think bravo at 3 or 4 is a pretty good option...while it makes sense for chanders and sars to come in after then b/c they are the best players of spin we have which happens around then

    yea but thats with the key performers doing they're job.....the likes of bravo and ramdin, who i think probably have the most important job because they are the barrier to the lower order.....and if we can find some way if ramdin or bravo to come up the order if they are good enough for the job and put someone like a nash to really put a gate on our lower order......i think we would have that gap filled that we have been plagued with for the longest time
